WMPG’s new Program Director David Rogers-Berry
WMPG Radio is excited to announce the appointment of David Rogers-Berry as its new Program Director. With over 20 years of experience in music production, audio engineering, community engagement, and education, David brings a wealth of expertise to this critical role. His dynamic background and commitment to creative collaboration make him a perfect fit to lead WMPG’s diverse programming.
David has been an integral part of WMPG, most recently serving as the station’s Technical Director. In this role, he contributed to the long-running live music broadcast Local Motives and played a key part in training students and volunteers in radio and production skills. His work has reinforced WMPG’s mission to serve the University of Southern Maine and the greater Portland community with innovative, inclusive, and high-quality programming.

Beyond WMPG, David has been training students at the Maine College of Art and Design as an audio studio tech since 2019, further showcasing his dedication to education and skill-building. His global perspective, cultivated through years of work in New York City and performances in dozens of countries, adds a unique dimension to his approach.
David’s extensive expertise as a producer, educator, and collaborator positions him to guide WMPG’s programming efforts with innovation and inclusivity. He is widely respected for his ability to help creative individuals realize their visions, foster curiosity, and champion diverse perspectives in media.
