The 50th birthday is this Saturday (14th). Join our short parade from WMPG to the new McGoldrick Student Success Center. The Ideal Maine Social Aid and Sanctuary Band will head the parade at 5.30pm with their New Orleans style parade band. REGISTER FOR THE EVENT HERE
Want to be in the parade? Meet us at WMPG at 5:30pm, 92 Bedford Street. The more the merrier!
Starting at 6pm at the McGoldrick Student Success Center there will be food and beverages along with jazz music from the Marc Chillemi Quintet.
At 7pm will be the premiere screening of a documentary film on WMPG from local filmmaker Tom Bell. From 7:30pm on there will be DJ’s from past and present entertaining the crowd. Sergio from Our Latin Thing is on at 7:30pm. Ben from Soulmates is on at 8pm. And DJ Hope from Purple Monkey Dishwasher will take over at 8:30pm
Schedule:
- 5:30pm – A parade from WMPG’s studio at 92 Bedford Street to McGoldrick Student Success Center led by The Ideal Maine Social Aid and Sanctuary Band.
- 6pm – Food and drinks reception. Music from the jazz band, the the Marc Chillemi Quintet.
- 7pm – Premiere screening of a documentary film on WMPG (working title: An Extraordinary Place). Produced and directed by local filmmaker, Tom Bell.
- 7:30-9pm – Music from WMPG’s DJs. Mingling!
