Summer 2022 Neighbourhood Block Parties
We hosted WMPG’s summer neighborhood block parties this summer. We had great youth and family participation at each event and it was fun to collaborate with other partnership organisations. Keyboard Fantasies The Beverly Glenn-Copeland Story screening with an opening set by Kafari! (7pm. the film will start at 8pm). Tales of Bells & Drums
This week we had musicians, singers and drummers from West Guinea, Rwanda and Burundi in our studio to talk about their event – Tales of Bells & Drums is an event organized by Ikirenga Cy’intore and in collaboration with Batimbo United and New Moon Ensemble. Stories of their lives are told through dancing and drumming. We were treated to song and dance and WMPG Radio are excited to be supporting this event in September.
