In this episode, Merrill explored the fascinating and often overlooked Peanut Butter Conspiracy, a folk/psychedelic band from Los Angeles in the 1960s. Although relatively obscure, the band had a notable influence on the West Coast music scene. Merrill discussed their music, as well as the career paths of two of their members: Spencer Dryden (later of Jefferson Airplane) and vocalist Barbara “Sandi” Robison. This was an in-depth look at a band that deserved far more recognition in the annals of psychedelic rock.
