Paul Wells brings a lifetime of playing, studying, listening to, researching, and writing about North American folk and popular music to his work at WMPG. The founding Director of the Center for Popular Music at Middle Tennessee State University, he has published widely in both academic and popular media. As a record producer, three of his projects have received Grammy nominations. He currently writes a regular feature ("The Attic") for The Old Time Herald magazine, featuring selections from his extensive collection of antique photos of musicians.
