Kate Manahan

Kate Manahan came to her environmental activism against toxics through her social work practice. Realizing what children were being exposed to felt like a three-alarm fire. She wanted to inform wider audiences and inspire action toward less toxics and more health, for all. Thus, What Mama Wants was born in 2022.

This show is also available in podcast format.

Previously, Kate produced and hosted the award-winning radio show called New Mainers Speak (2014-2021). New Mainers Speak is a collection of 250 interviews with immigrants about their lives in Maine.

In 2020 Kate attended The Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine. She is the Founder of Thumbprint Audio.
